Now that tryouts are basically over, how do the teams look? Any surprises?

So did Reign field two teams?
Will the Leafs have a team? No way can Flyers stay AA with their current roster. So that will add another team to the A division.

Good point on Wildcats they are struggling to get kids at all levels.

How did tryouts go for Shattucks St Semi? how many kids showed up for 16UAA? will they have one or two AA teams at each level?

Tryouts in Simi went well. Looks to be a strong team.
How is your Wave team looking?

Puckslapper, have to agree with you on the flyers 16aa, that roster is very weak, they are also looking for additional forwards.  That team would currently struggle in the A division.  Their top scorers from last years Bantam were 05's.

Wave 2 is an 04 birthyear team. Looking strong, but we'll see if the boys can put the puck in the net. Wave 1 team is mostly 03's and they should be at the top of the pack.
Is the Mariners a mixed birthyear team or will there be two teams out of Simi? I'm guessing lots of Flyers kids jumped to Simi, was that the case?

Flyers Bantam AA last year had 5 04s.  They are having a hard time fielding 16AA teams.  Didn

The Saints did very well considering I heard their entire first line, one other skater, and the head coach were all out with either suspensions or injuries.  They're going to be awesome next season.  And it looks like the Saints 14AA did extremely well.  So it seems good things going on down south.  I also think that if the Gulls '03 players had formed a 16AA team, they would be the team to beat.

Also interesting to note that three AAA players voluntarily left the Kings 16AAA, one playing with Wave 1, one playing with Kings 1, and the other I'm not sure.  Another player voluntarily left Kings 18AAA and went to Wave 1.  Wave 1 was so hyped -- does anyone else think maybe they're disappointed with their showing?  They're loaded with talent though.

I'm thinking Ducks 1 maybe did best for themselves this weekend?  Just because the schedule up north looks like it might have been tougher?

Lastly, did anyone else think there was an unusual amount of fights/shoving compared to last year?
